Scott Chapman

Chair

Scott Chapman AM is the Chair of AMREF Flying Doctors based in Nairobi, Kenya and has held chief executive and senior leadership positions at across the private, public and not for profit sectors over many years, with organisational performance and community capacity building at the fore of his work. He is one of Australia’s most respected leaders in organisational transformation and has an international portfolio of interests. He is currently the Chief Executive of the Royal Flying Doctor Service based in Victoria, Australia and during his tenure has driven exponential growth in health service delivery across regional, remote and indigenous communities. His leadership has helped inspire donors to contribute more than $140million in funding for healthcare and community strengthening.

Scott also plays an important role in Melbourne and Victorian’s community – holding a number of important Board positions. He is currently the Chair of Doutta Gala Aged Services, Chair Western Melbourne Tourism, Chair of the Dafydd Lewis Trust helping young people into university, Chair of Enterprize Ship Trust, is President of the children’s charity Cottage by the Sea.

In 2023 Scott was awarded the Melbourne Achievement Award by the Committee for Melbourne for his tireless work in “giving back” to society, and in 2024 was appointed a member of the Order of Australia for his contribution to governance across the business and community sectors.

He is a keen adventurer having completed many expeditions in the polar regions and outback Australia. Married with 3 adult children and perfect grandkids, Scott remains committed to helping individuals and organisations achieve out performance in all they seek.
