AMREF Flying Doctor, an air rescue service in Africa, is the first non-European, non-US provider to receive full accreditation from the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI). This recognition, the highest level awarded by EURAMI, confirms AMREF’s capability to transport high-risk patients to a high standard. The accreditation underscores that international standards in air medical care are attainable globally, not just in first-world countries. AMREF Flying Doctor performs up to 1,000 evacuations annually, with 10 percent being charitable, setting a high benchmark for patient care in Africa.
